Inktober - Week 4

Yikes, can someone please tell me how four weeks past in flash? Seriously, this month is just rushing by.  >.<

I was worried I wouldn't know what to draw after Inktober, but thankfully, me and my sister, Lostfairy, have thought of tons of EXO drawing ideas to draw. (EXO as fairytale characters, anyone?) XDD So be prepared for an EXO overload next month.

Day 21: drain

Gosh, Skyward Sword Link is probably one of my favorite Links ever. XD His character arc and personality and, not to mention, his design is incredible. If you haven't played SS yet, you should totally consider it. XD

I had so much fun drawing a silly, exaggerated expression on Link. One of the reasons why I like doing those kinds of faces is 'cause if you mess up a bit, no one can tell because the expression is so goofy anyway. XDD

Day 22: expensive

METTATON!!!!!!! *does jazz hands* Don't you just love the new million dollar boots he bought? XD

I had so much fun drawing this picture. The boots were a bit hard to draw, and I didn't get everything to look like I wanted it to, but I still like the way it looks. XD

Day 23: muddy

I love playing Animal Crossing: New Leaf. I have a neighbor in my town that I like to draw. I've come up with my own design based on his look in AC. So this drawing is of me and my neighbor, Julian the unicorn.

The writing on the bottom of the picture means rain in Korean. XD

Day 24: chop

The Neighbor from Hello Neighbor never has an axe, but I wouldn't put it past him.

His face was so hard to draw, and I'm still not happy with it. XD I wasn't really in a drawing mood that day, heh.

Day 25: prickly

I'm happy with this drawing. Have I ever told you that I love drawing creepy things? XD Seriously, its so fun.

Alice's dress took ages to fill in. XD But I think it was worth the time it took. And I like the dramatic solid black ink on her arms and neck.

Day 26: stretch

Okay, yeah, no, I don't know how to draw someone stretching.

This is the first time I've drawn a Splatoon Inkling. It was rather interesting to draw tentacles, instead of hair.

Day 27: thunder

I know thunder isn't lightning, but they go hand in hand, no? XD

I love Pit's design, but I messed up a few details. XDD I also drew Pit looking a little older than thirteen.

So far, I think this is my favorite drawing. XD

I can't believe I'm on the last week!!!!! It's crazy~!!!!!! (Also, do you like my new backdrop for my art pictures? My family got a new table so now I have to take pictures on there, instead of the old one.)

What are you going to be doing in November?

Inktober - Week 3

Hi faeries!!! :D

Sorry this is late! >.<

I can't believe I've done three full weeks of Inktober. I'm enjoying it way more than I thought I would. C: Like, I'm almost sad it's ending soon. DX

For the third week, the theme I was doing was fairy tales and classics. I based quite a number of my drawings from Disney characters, but added my own twist on them.

Day 14: clock

Yehet! I finally drew a chibi person in a more squishy style. Before this, the chibis I drew became too long and slender to be actual chibi. >.< I think the reason why that happened because I wanted to proportion them right or something. XD

I had to look up how to draw chibi bodies or something and I saw a really helpful base, but I can't seem to find it again. So I can't show you even if I wanted to. XDD

I started using gray markers in Inktober art, too. They're super fun to use. ^-^

I don't do backgrounds a lot, but I tried to do one in this Cinderella drawing. It was supposed to be more abstract and maybe even dream-like, but I'm not sure if it just ended up being strange. XD

Day 15: weak

I drew Cowardly Lion as a human, furry, shape-shifter thing. (Please, someone, tell me, what he is. XD 'Cause I have no idea what to call him.) Sadly, his ears blend into his hair a bit. Whoops.

It was fun to draw such a scared expression and add the sweat drop to express his nervousness.

Cowardly Lion in the movie always plays with his tail when he's scared, so I wanted to have my version doing it, too. The hand pose was easier than I thought it would be, but I know it isn't entirely accurate.

Day 16: angular

Angular also means stiff. I think the Steadfast Tin Soldier is pretty stiff. :P The Tin Soldier is missing one of his legs from just above the knee and down, by the way.

I recently watched Fantasia 2000 for the first time. And I was so inspired by the Tin Soldier animation in there, that I drew my own twist on it.

I had to use a reference photo for drawing the two side profiles.

Day 17: swollen

Alice from Alice and Wonderland growing bigger isn't really swollen, but that's all I could think of for this prompt. XD

The angle I tried (and failed) to draw was a upward one, so like looking up at her. I've never done that before, so maybe it isn't too bad for a first, but stillllll. The drawing wasn't how I wanted it to be.

Gosh, though, those clouds were so fun to draw. XD

Day 18: bottle

Eep, this was such an enjoyable prompt to draw!!!! XD

Tinkerbell is one of my favorite characters in Peter Pan classic. (Okay, I love all the characters, but who can blame me? They're all so lovable.)

Can you tell that I love abstract backgrounds and swirls and stars and sparkles? XD Seriously, they are so fun to draw. And I like the look of them.

Day 19: scorched

Heh, too bad I'm not doing the book theme anymore. Scorch Trials vibes, anyone? XD

I thought Smaug was kinda scorched-able, right? Heh. XD And since I'm drawing only humans for Inktober, I made Smaug a man. A ruthless businessman. *wiggles eyebrows* Because all ruthless businessmen hold hearts, yes? That's a perfectly normal activity. CX

I spent a lot of time coloring this drawing. I wanted to get the lighting right on his suit so it would like he was very near a light source. The light source being his fiery wings I "tried" to draw. XD

Day 20: breakable

This is my own Evil Queen, I was slightly (okay, a lot) inspired by Once Upon a Time's Evil Queen. XD

I had fun drawing all those swirls for the fog/smoke thing. I looked up cracked mirrors to get an idea of how to draw them, and then I went crazy with the cracked mirror. XD

She didn't end up looking as cruel as wanted her to look, but I suppose that will have to be okay. XD I tried a new thing for me, by making her eyes shadowed on the bottom, instead of the top. I'm not sure if it looks good in my style, I'll have to try that technique again sometime and see how it looks then.

- - -

Gosh, I started writing this post on Monday and I'm only posting it now on Thursday. Sorry about that!! It's almost time to post this week's art, heh. XD

Do you have a favorite type of background in art? Abstract, realistic, or something else?

Inktober - Week 1

Hey faeries!

The first week of Inktober is over. I don't remember if you know this or not, but I'm doing weekly themes to go along with the prompts. The first week was movies/TV shows.

Just as a side note, I'm super tired feeling today, so there won't be much to read for this post. XD And if it doesn't really make a lick of sense, I blame my overtired brain. U.U

Day 1: poisonous

I really like the anime show Snow White with the Red Hair. I haven't watched the whole show yet, but it's amazing already. This is a drawing of Shirayuki, the main character, with a poisonous apple.

Day 2: tranquil

This is such a stretch for the prompt, tranquil; but I couldn't think of anything else. Big Hero 6 is one of my all time favorite family movies. (Baymax is so funny.)

Day 3: roasted

It's Barry and Wally from The Flash!!!! *does jazz hands sleepily* They always roast each other; so I thought they would work for that prompt. :P (I missed my chance to do an angry vein for Barry, though. XD Phooey.)

Day 4: spell

So, without meaning to, I sorta did a different style from my other drawings??? XD I think I like it, though. :P I also didn't mean for Draco to look dead inside, but, again, I really like it. XD This is probably my favorite drawing I've done so far.

It's hard to read what I wrote on the drawing but it says, "serpensortia" on top and "expelliarmus" on the side. Those are both spells from Harry Potter.

As you can see, this is my first black and white drawing I've done for Inktober, and I think I'll keep doing it. I need more practice drawing like that, anyway.

Day 5: chicken

I figured Hiccup from How to Train Your Dragon was pretty much the definition of chicken. I don't know if he was necessary scared of his own shadow, but *shrugs* anything could've happened. XD

Day 6: drooling

Bleghhhhhhh, this is the drawing I did today, I was not feeling in the drawing mood. You can tell I was rushing it by all the crazy messy lines I drew. XD

I can hardly tell what I was drawing. It's supposed to be Sokka (from Avatar: the Last Airbender) in a sleeping bag, but uh, yeah, it looks wrong. XD Sokka looks like a baby. o.O

Next week's theme is books I wish were more popular.

How's Inktober going for you? And, if you're not doing Inktober, how's life going for you? XD

Favorite Food / Weapon of Their Choice / With Glasses - 30 Drawings Challenge

Hey faeries! It's another Monday, so that means it's another post. XD

I got some more drawing challenge pictures to show you. ;)

The challenge for this one was to draw someone eating their favorite food. I thought of Barry Allen from The Flash. He loves to eat pizza. XD So I drew him looking very much in love with his pizza.

I had to look up chibi people eating something to figure out how to draw a mouth that looked it was actually full. XD When I first drew the mouth, I starting laughing because it looked so ridiculous and silly. I'm not used to drawing faces like this. :P And I looked at how people drew the hand positions for holding pizza, too.

This is also the first time using markers with my "new" sketchbook. It went surprisingly well! :D

Do you recognize this from my sneak peek a little while ago??! XD

The next challenge was to draw someone with their weapon or the weapon of their choice. I choose to draw Doctor Alchemy from The Flash. (Don't look him up unless you want spoilers!!!) I love the creepiness of this villain in the show. His plague doctor's mask is awesome! And he has this cool, glowy stone that he using as a weapon. It's epic.

Here's a picture of what Alchemy looks like in the show. :3

Doesn't he look creepy? XD

Then, the drawing prompt was to draw someone with or without glasses, depending if they had them or not. I drew Black Gryph0n, because why not? XD And he doesn't wear glasses, so *shrugs*.

Black Gryph0n, I feel like, wears a lot of polo shirts, so I drew him in one. And just to make it look little more like him, I added his symbol on the shirt. To be honest, Black Gryp0n in my drawing looks more like a kpop member than an American. XDDD Oops. >.<

Also, I tried giving him a little shine on his hair but that didn't work so I tried to cover it. Again, that didn't work. XDD Oh, well!

See you all on Thursday!

What's your favorite food?

Formal Wear / 15 Minute Sketch / Casual Wear - 30 Drawings Challenge

Hello, hello! ;)

I thought, since I'm drawing so much lately, I should post more than one picture per post this month. So today's post has three pieces of art!

The next prompt was to draw someone in formal wear. XD I chose to draw Mettaton (from Undertale). I had this model-ish pose in mind I wanted to draw and I could not, for the life of me, find a reference photo for how to draw the head and neck and shoulders the way I wanted it to be. XD So, eh, it turned out a little wonky. XDD I haven't drawn that many side profiles, so that was a challenge for me. And I have to work on shading people's limbs and stuff to give the picture depth. :P

I made up the outfit from what I have seen other anime guys wear and real people. But I didn't have a reference picture up while I was drawing.

Then, the drawing prompt was to draw a 15 minute sketch. Now, that was an intense 15 minutes. XD The person I chose to draw was, of course, Draco. I've drawn him so many times that makes it easier to draw faster.

*laughs a little* There's so many things I didn't have time to do. XD Like, shading skin or signing my name on it.

Also, I feel like a lot of people I show this to mention that he looks so grumpy. XD *is protective* Draco's just had a hard life! Be nice! You'd be grumpy too if you were in his shoes! AND EVERYONE CALLS HIM STUPID. LIKE, HECK. NOW THAT'S ROOD.

Ahem. I'm not crazy.

Now, it's casual wear. XD

Um, welp. I trieddddddd to draw a dog on his lap. And... um. It's looks like a brown colored lump, to be honest. XD

There was another little mishap. This was the first drawing in my new sketchbook. And the sketchbook doesn't work with colored pencils cuz it leaves little white dots EVERYWHERE. So. *frowns at sketchbook* Humph. (The next drawing I did in that sketchbook I colored it with markers and it works much better! XD)

Other than the mistakes, I think I like how this drawing turned out...? XD *looks at drawing again and nods head* Yup. I think I like it. XD (Although on this picture I took of the drawing you can barely tell I gave the guy stubble. XDD Oops. :P)

Okay, that's all I have for you shanks today.

Remember WICKED is good! (Not!) (Why am I using Maze Runner terms??)

Do you ever use random terms or references from books just because you like them? XD *whispers* I do. All the buggin' time.

My Wittle Crybaby

Hey faeries!

This week has been pretty crazy. I've been getting grad party stuff ready. And I'm almost done with all the decorations for it, but need to wrap up the last little details and whatnot. And there's be plumbing problems and that's kinda busy too. So yeah, life's a little full right now. XD

*takes a deep breath* All right! You remember that I've been drawing a series of Undertale characters, right? Well, I've drawn another one. This one is of a goat kid named Asriel Dreemurr. He's a really cute, little guy. Asriel's a bit of a crybaby, but he's still determined and has a big heart. XD

I did Asriel in chibi style, of course, because I'm drawing a bunch of UT in chibi. It was interesting to draw a goat but as sorta a human as well. Human because he stands on two legs and I basically drew him as a chibi person, but he's a goat-ish because he has big ears and he's furry and he also has paws. Yes, yes, I know he's a goat but he has paws. I don't know why, but that's how all the rest of the goats in the game are, as well.

Here's a picture of how Asriel looks like in the game.

[source]

I didn't have a bright enough yellow in me and my sister's artist marker selection for Asriel's shirt. So I went into the old kiddie art supplies. I found a lovely yellow that worked perfectly. It wasn't the same quality, obviously, because it's just a regular ol' marker, but it did the trick nicely. I could use a darker yellow from artist markers for the shading.

Speaking of shading, I tried something I haven't done that much. XD It's a super simple technique and I should have thought of this a longggggg time ago, but... I did two levels of shading. The first level of shading I did was simply going back over what I colored with the same color. And then go over it again for the second level. But only go over key areas twice. It makes it look like there are deeper shadows and there are lighter shadows too. The deeper shadows are places where, let's say, the clothes wrinkle more. Or, for hair, color underneath the head or like behind the head, if that makes sense.

*light bulb goes off over my head*

*eyes light up in excitement*

*GASP*

I should do a step-by-step of how I color long girl hair! :O Maybe guy hair, too! What do you guys think about that!!?! *whispers* I think Sarah may already have suggested doing something like this. XD If you guys, like the idea, I'll do it sometime soon! I mean, I've got all summer to draw so sometime in there, I'll draw it for you. XD (This month is pretty busy for me, but next month is all clear! :D)

Eep, I'm actually getting excited about drawing something like for you guys. XD I think I'll have lot more time after grad to draw more. So excited, I just can't hide it! XDDD

What kinds of things make you super excited?

Napstablook

Hey faeries!

It's a long weekend for me, so I can post earlier than normal! XD The long weekend has been really relaxing for me, so that's nice. XD I think I can even finish a book I'm reading today. :P

Napstablook is a sad little ghost in Undertale. He likes to lie on the floor and feel like trash. :P XD And he listens to music a lot, too.

[source for in game picture] and [source for the fanart]
Here's the pictures I looked at while drawing Napstablook. :P The one on the left is what he looks like in the game; so I looked at that one the most when drawing. :P And the one on the right is some fanart I saw, and when I was unsure of how to draw something, I'd look at that for inspiration. Oops, didn't even realize that the fanart has music notes around it, too. XDDD I don't think I did that on purpose to kinda copy it. :P

Napstablook wears headphones in the game, so I drew him wearing them, too. XDD

Uhm, there's really not a lot to say. Ummmm, well, I drew his basic shape really fast. XD And I had to try a number of times to get the bottom of his ghost form right. :P Soooo, yeah.

Welp, I think I'm done here! So toodles!!!

What have you been up to this weekend?

Water Ninja

Hey faeries! How's life?

I'm pleased to announce that I only have 12 school days left before graduation! :O So that's means this month is my last month of school. It still hasn't quite hit me that I'm not going to do normal school next year.

I drew this water ninja a few weeks ago. I had been watching a little more Avatar: the Last Airbender then, so I think I was inspired by it. XD

The pose is something I came up with by myself, so it's probably a little wonky. :P *looks at it and squints slightly* Hmm. Maybe I should have made her hands bigger...? Um, no, I don't think that's the problem here.

Or, on second thought, perhaps her hands are too small. Humph, never mind her hands. >.< Her feet are in totally the wrong positions!!!

I used a gray set of markers to color her. They have this little picture on the outside of the box, like they do for all art supplies, of a picture someone had done using those markers. And I like the layers of color they had done on the girl's hair in the picture, so I looked at that for coloring my own girl's hair.

I shaded the darkest shadows on the ninja's skin with black because I felt that would make it stand out a little more from all the other gray shadows.

I used the crosshatching technique for the ninja's sash around her waist. (Truth be told, the sash and belt thing looks ninja like; but also reminds me of Link's first outfit in Skyward Sword, which is the picture on the right. Heh, and that's so a cool ninja over there, that Link, he's my ninja boi! Heh. Yup, so sneaky in those bright, baggy clothes. XDDD *whispers* Ignore my strange behavior at the moment :P)

Some of my family members thought the water that girl was bending or whatever was fire. It's not... XDDD Although, I must admit that fire is definitely one of favorite elemental powers. *cough cough* No way is it just because Zuko, my grumpy prince bae, is a firebender. XD

I think I've covered everything about the art, so... Toodles!* ;)

What's your favorite elemental power?

*Totally not doing a Mettaton reference...

Swirl's Art Request!

Hey faeries!

Oh man, it rained yesterday, and now it actually looks like spring out there; instead of a dry fall! XDD A couple of my siblings and I are going to get ice cream today because its warming up outside! :P Woo! *does a little happy dance*

So! I finished the very last art request a couple of days ago. :O Swirl requested a chibi drawing of herself. :)

The hair didn't turn out quite what I had in mind... I was kinda picturing softer blending of the lighter hair with the darker hair. But, oh well, that didn't really happen. DX

Everything else, I think, went okay! Her pink hoodie totally reminds me of an old hoodie of my own. ;) You know what's funny? If I had made Swirl in the drawing have blond hair and blue eyes, it would have kinda looked like me. XDDD Which is a weird thought... :P So don't dwell on it too long. XD

I tried a different technique with the wrinkles on her pant legs, because I've seen that sometimes people's wrinkles in there pants after the knee kinda wrinkle upward, if that makes sense. But when I did it, it looked super wonky so I had to darker her pants under the knee and down so I could hide the wonkiness. >.< *crosses fingers* I hope it turned out okay even with the mess up.

I also drew tennis shoes in a style that I've never done before. I usually do Converse sneakers or something of that style. Fun Fact: Where I live, sneakers are often called runners. Don't ask me why. XD I looked up tennis shoes and used the first woman's shoe I saw and liked as a reference photo.

I've also never drawn glasses where the cross over the eyes before. I thought I'd make it look too old lady-ish if I did that, but my sis, Lost, convinced me otherwise. c: And, boy, I'm glad she did! The first pair of glasses I'd started to draw were super big ones that surrounded the whole eye. And... it looked uber nerdy. :P Not a terribly good nerdy, either. I showed Lost the first half of the glasses and she was like, "Ehhhhh." So I knew it looked pretty bad. XD Then, I used handy Google Images to find a chibi girl wearing glasses and used that as a reference picture. In the end, it turned out way better than it would have if Lost hadn't said "Ehhhhh." So thank you ever so kindly, sis, for telling me when the art I draw kinda sucks! XDD

*thinks a little* Hmm, I think that's all I have to say about the art for today! ;)

Thank you, Swirl, for requesting art from me! I had so much fun drawing it! ^.^ And you were super helpful when I wanted to ask questions and had to clarify things! *hugs* Thanks!!!!

And thank you to all of you who requested art!!!!! I enjoyed drawing all the art you asked for! ;D Thank you for being patient with me since it took me quite awhile to get started on drawing the requests.

Here is a list of all the posts in which the requested art showed up:

One last time, thanks for requesting art!

Mettaton - Lostfairy's Request

Yessssssssssssssssssss! I'm done the second last art request! *feels happy about self and does a fist pump in the air* XDD

Lostfairy, thanks so much for being okay with all the persistent questions about how you wanted Mettaton to be drawn!

For all you who don't know, Lost had originally asked for a different art request than this one; but since I hadn't started drawing it yet, she got to change it and instead asked me to draw Mettaton.

Mettaton is from the game called Undertale, which I mentioned in a recent post because I drew Undyne. XD Mettaton goes by the nickname MTT sometimes; hence the reason why I wrote MTT on the drawing. :P Mettaton is an awesome robot with a glamorous sense of humor. He owns a TV show in the game and it has cooking shows, dramatic musicals, and other news reports on there. XD It's hilarious! (Just so y'all know Mettaton is by no means gay or something. He's just glamorous. And I won't ever draw a gay person or something of that type. That is not something I support.)

I had lots of fun coming up with how to draw his hair. And coloring it was a blast! XD I liked adding the lighter parts to it, which is something I don't do that often.

The shoulder pads on his armor weren't meant to be so blue - I got mixed up with which marker colored which color... So I wanted to color it the same color as Mettaton's pants but I ended up coloring it navyish gray/black. :P I actually don't mind it! It looks better than I thought it would. ^.^

I used a very light pink when I shaded his face. I think the rest of the pink in his outfit fits nicely together with the shading.

The pose is not something I made up by myself. Some else had drawn a chibi base and posted it online, and so I looked at that when I was drawing. It was a different angle in the drawing someone else did, but Lost wanted Mettaton to be drawn from a front view perspective.

Mettaton doesn't actually have the heart in his eye but some fan art artists draw him that way, and I rather like it. ^.^

I added hands to MTT because I felt if I did blobby style of hands I had done for Undyne than it just wouldn't look right. Chibi hands are easier and harder than I thought. XD The hand on the left was quick to draw but the other hand took a few tries (like a lot of tries). :P

Thanks so much, sis, for requesting art from me! ^.^ I loved drawing MTT! I think I'll have to do it again soon! ;)

Do you have a favorite video game fandom?

Art Request Number Three Is Done!

Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! The weekend is coming!

And. That. Means. No. School!

Hallelujah! XD

My brother, Josiah, requested chibi artwork of one of his favorite characters in the game called Undertale. The character is called Undyne. She's pretty cool sounding to me! I haven't seen or played the whole game so I don't know everything about her character, but what I've heard or seen is neat. ^.^

Undyne, I believe is named after water spirits called undines. So that's the reason she has gills and blue skin. XD

I colored this picture with my artist markers and I messed it up a little. DX There isn't supposed to be the line connecting her eye and eye patch... That happened because I accidentally went over that place twice with my markers and doing so left a very clear mark. It's nice for shading when it shows up so vividly that you colored twice in an area; but it's not good if you color messily. Like, *cough, cough* I did. :P

Another little mishap was that one of my markers leaked on the white background of my drawing. So instead of having a just plain white background behind Undyne, I had to improvise and add a pattern of the turquoise dots in the background. :P Tracey gave me the idea to improvise. I think it ended up being better with the pattern than without, actually. c:

I had quite a lot of fun drawing Undyne's hair, because I loving drawing blowing hair and bangs like that! XD And I don't think I've drawn gills on a person before so that was a lovely new concept for me. :)

Josiah, thanks so much for asking for this art request! Makes me want to draw more Undertale characters. ^.^ I hope I wasn't bothersome when I showed my drawing so many times to make sure I got it right. XDD

Welp, that's all I got for you faeries today! ^.^ So... yeah. :P

Have you heard of Undertale before? If so, what do you think of it?

Everland - a Book Review and My Sketchbook LIED to Me

Hey faeries! How was your Christmas? Did you get any wonderful presents? :O Or were you on the Naughty list? XD I know I had a wonderful Christmas, full of laughs and good memories. C:

In fact, the book I read over Christmas is the one I want to talk to you about today. Everland is a Peter Pan retelling! :O There aren't a whole lot of those from what I've found. (If you know some good Peter Pan retellings, please write the title down for me in the comments! I'd love to read it.) Everland is actually the very first Peter Pan retelling I've ever read. :o :P

Yeah Points
  • The book is set in a steampunk world! And I looooove steampunk. XD To me, it felt like it was a steampunk World War II book, but I'm not so sure because there was the mention of fist bumping. Soooo, yeah, not quite sure about the time the story takes place. :P
  • The cover is gorgeous.
  • The characters were beautifully written. Pete and Gwen were the cutest thing together. <3 Bella is a tough young girl, but I love her. ^.^  Mikey is a super sweet kid. (Hook is a wonderfully evil-yet-not villain. He reminds me of Zuko from Avatar.
  • The author, Wendy Spinale, writes in so many references to the original Peter Pan and I loved them all! Even if you haven't read the original, you'll still catch a bunch of them!
  • I really like the backstories that were told in this book. They intertwined nicely. ^.^
  • Pete was adorable. XD I really want to draw him!!!
  • Spinale follows the plot of the original enough to give the book a familiar feeling but it's not so predictable that it follows it completely.

 Nah Points
  • There is about two uses of a not-so-nice word. I don't think it's a swear word. But I know it's definitely not a good word. So, yeah. :/
  • And there were a two or three descriptions that were on the graphic side... (Like, I don't really want to know exactly how a rotting skeleton looks like! DX)
  • There is a character that develops a crush on a woman that could be his mother. Like, EW. Thankfully, the lady does not feel the same way. Whew. :P But, yeah... that was a little gross. But, before, you cross out this book completely and say "No way, I'm not reading this," that point in the plot is not important! The author doesn't focus a lot of attention of that little crush, thank goodness! XD I just had to mention it because it was weird and yucky. :P
To sum it up, I really enjoyed the book! And if you like Peter Pan or just steampunkish reads, you should read it! :D
- - -

See this sketchbook? Yup, that's mine. XD (Wow, I can't believe I haven't shown you faeries what I draw in before this. XD) Well, this is the sketchbook that lied to me.

My parents gave me and my sister, Lostfairy, some really nice new markers for Christmas. And they are not normal markers either. With these markers, you can blend them. :O XD

(The brand is Touchnew.)

So me and my sister wanted to try them as soon as possible. :D She had drawn this really cute chibi Frisk from Undertale and was going to color it and I drew a quick chibi mermaid to color.

Here's my drawing when I finished it, by the way.* :3

So my sister and I were happily coloring our drawings, when all of a sudden, Lost flipped over the next page in her sketchbook. And, lo and behold! There. On her next drawing that she wanted to color. There were dots! Dots, I tell you! On her perfectly perfect picture! :O

And, then, I checked my next page, too. And look!

*It's so messy! I'm not used to the way the ink from the markers spreads. DX :P

Gah! I have dots on my next page, too! D: I thought my sketchbook could handle markers like that..

See? My sketchbook says it's "ideal for markers." Like, what! How could you lie to me sketchbook!!! DX *cries forever* I'm so mad at you sketchbook! *throws it into the fire and cackles and cries as it burns*

...

Heh.

Uh. Ahem! Never mind that outburst. XD

I think I need to get a different sketchbook if I want to use my markers. I'm thinking a sketchbook where you can use watercolor colored pencils will work. :P But, I'm not sure! XD

Okay! I drew a few drawings already this Christmas break! And I really wanted to show them to you. :)

I drew Barry!!!!! From The Flash!!! :D Barry does this pose. A LOT. XD So I had to draw him doing it. :P I think I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.

Here's the reference photo I used.

I couldn't find a dark enough blue to match the navy he is wearing in this picture. XD

This is Lostfairy's idea. I had ran out of ideas for what to draw and she told me to draw Newt (from the Maze Runner) in a Christmas sweater! Newt is my favorite character in the whole series! So how could I say not to drawing him in a Christmas jumper?! (Oops, I meant sweater. You know when you start using British terms, that you've watched too many DanTDM videos... XD) Anyway, Newt is kinda of a grumpy character sometimes so I drew him frowning. XD Yeah... he does not look happy to be wearing a Christmas sweater. :P

By the way, I tried to make him look like he was leaning against a wall. But... yeah, that didn't work too well. XD

One last picture!

Chibi Christmas elf!!!

Okay, this was first going to be a chibi unicorn girl. But it started to look more like a Christmas elf, instead. So that's what I did!

I had a lot of fun with her two toned hair. :)

*Lostfairy pointed out that the elf's furry shoes look like reindeer hooves. And I have to agree! XD I didn't plan that!

You may have noticed that I put a watermark on my pictures. Well, just recently, I found out just how easy it was to remove something from a picture and for it to look almost normal. So I thought I'd put a watermark so no one would steal my art. I do not think you loyal faeries would steal it! It's just a precaution.

Welp, I hope you enjoyed the post! Have an amazing weekend!!!

What have you been doing on your Christmas break?
