The Free Commissions are Done!!!

Hey faeriessssss!!!!!!!!!!!! Imma backkkkkkkkkk.

And, yes! I finished making the commissions without you having to wait months and months!!!

(Sorry, forgot to get a link, I did NOT make this GIF.)

That's me celebrating. CX

Ahem! Anyhoo, before I show you guys the art you requested, I need to tell you something. This is VERY serious. *almost starts laughing* I have made the bestest artwork you ever seen in your life. I'm being absolutely serious here. Your mind is gonna be blown when you see this.

Are you ready?!

I don't think you are.

But then again, no one is ready to see the gloriousness I have created.

If you die from this, I'm sorry.

TA-DAAAAAAAAAAA. It's my fabulous Bendy and the Ink Machine art!!!! XDDDD

Isn't it perfect? CX

What? You don't like it??? DX

(Again, forgot the link. DX)

Haha. Sorry, that was a bad joke. *shakes head* I don't know what I was doing.

Well, I made that Alice Angel and Bendy artwork as a joke once and I just felt like posting because why not? XDD

Okay! Now on to the commissions!

I only actually got around to finishing the first one and getting the pencil version of the second commission done when I was in the waiting room at the appointment. XD So I drew the rest at home. :P

Snowlondon (sorry, I could only find your Google+ account to link back to you!) requested first, and she asked for her original character, Seraphina.

Seraphina is a mermaid, but I'm not sure if I made her mermaid-ish enough. DX I'm not a fan of the tradition mermaid outfit so I made up my own. I tried to have her sleeves be like a gauzy, see-through material, and I think it worked...? XD

And, from what I can tell, she seems like a determined girl! I hope I could put all that bravery and character into her expression. :)

I hope you like it, Snow! :D

Now, it's Sarahkey8's art! Sarah also asked for an OC of her's, Kaylee.

I had no clue what kind of swirls and polka dots you wanted, Sarah! XDD So I hope this is what you had in mind. Also, I hope Kaylee looks like she has a Ty Lee personality. CX

Heh, the raven earrings went superrrrr well. XDD Sorry, I don't know how to draw tiny ravens. They ended up looking like pointy blobs. >.<

Lately, I've been testing out shading skin with different colors besides my usual. (Which is tan and more skin tone-ish colors.) I shaded Kaylee with red and then faded it with an eraser and colored lightly over it again with a tan colored pencil. I thought the red would bring out the pink in the shirt.

I hope I did Kaylee justice, Sarah! C:

Josiah's is the next one! He commissioned me to draw Shovel Knight from, you guessed it, the game, Shovel Knight! XD

Welp, this was strange art to draw...

I don't know what to say about the art, but Shovel Knight looks like a fun character. I'm curious to see what his games would be about. :D

Erasing the certain parts on his armor to create the shine was really fun. And it was nice not having to draw eyes. (Arghhhh, getting the eyes to be the same shape is hard. >.<)

I hope you like seeing Shovel Knight in my art style, Josiah!

Last commission is Lostfairy's!!! She asked for Ghirahim from Legend of Zelda, but she is writing a fanfic with him in it. When she requested that he have the personality from her story, so he's, uh, kinder?? I guess?? I don't know! XD

Man, I love the story Lostfairy is writing, it's so good! :o And, so it was fun to draw Ghirahim from it.

Ghirahim was the commission I struggled with the longest because I couldn't get his hair to be something I liked. XD I think I'm finally happy with the end product.

I also tried something new-ish (for me, at least) with the parting in his hair. I did tiny, short lines in the direction his hair would go instead of drawing just a line or two. I really like the way it looks, so that's something I'll be doing a lot more. I'm not sure if that technique works just for guy's partings or not.

The shirt that Ghirahim's wearing is super fun to draw. I like how it's based on Link's Skyloft clothes in Skyward Sword but the colors are different. The red and black really work for Ghirahim's character.

Heh, it was a little strange to not draw an eyebrow. And then shade on his eyelid without having the eyebrow to base it on.

Psst! Can you tell that I left Ghirahim's lips white like they are in the video game? XDD

I hope I made Ghirahim a fraction as good as he is in your story, Lost!

Yup, that's all the art! It was really enjoyable to draw!!! (And, it forced me to draw a couple females, 'cause lately I have been just drawing guys... Heh. XDDD And I don't want to get out of practice drawing girls. :P)

Thank you all for requesting the free doodles!!! I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them. <3

If you got the free art, you are allowed to repost it. But, you must follow these two rules:

1. You MUST leave the watermark on it.

2. And you must give a link to Faeries and Folklore.

That's my conditions for reposting the art I gave for the free doodle commission.

And, just to be clear, if you want to repost any more of my art or art that you didn't get from the commissions, you must ask me for permission first!

Welp! That's all I have to say for today. CX

I hope you have a lovely time zone!!!

What do you think of the GIFs I posted in the beginning of the post? XD Too weird? (More like, too cute, right? CX)

My Wittle Crybaby

Hey faeries!

This week has been pretty crazy. I've been getting grad party stuff ready. And I'm almost done with all the decorations for it, but need to wrap up the last little details and whatnot. And there's be plumbing problems and that's kinda busy too. So yeah, life's a little full right now. XD

*takes a deep breath* All right! You remember that I've been drawing a series of Undertale characters, right? Well, I've drawn another one. This one is of a goat kid named Asriel Dreemurr. He's a really cute, little guy. Asriel's a bit of a crybaby, but he's still determined and has a big heart. XD

I did Asriel in chibi style, of course, because I'm drawing a bunch of UT in chibi. It was interesting to draw a goat but as sorta a human as well. Human because he stands on two legs and I basically drew him as a chibi person, but he's a goat-ish because he has big ears and he's furry and he also has paws. Yes, yes, I know he's a goat but he has paws. I don't know why, but that's how all the rest of the goats in the game are, as well.

Here's a picture of how Asriel looks like in the game.

[source]

I didn't have a bright enough yellow in me and my sister's artist marker selection for Asriel's shirt. So I went into the old kiddie art supplies. I found a lovely yellow that worked perfectly. It wasn't the same quality, obviously, because it's just a regular ol' marker, but it did the trick nicely. I could use a darker yellow from artist markers for the shading.

Speaking of shading, I tried something I haven't done that much. XD It's a super simple technique and I should have thought of this a longggggg time ago, but... I did two levels of shading. The first level of shading I did was simply going back over what I colored with the same color. And then go over it again for the second level. But only go over key areas twice. It makes it look like there are deeper shadows and there are lighter shadows too. The deeper shadows are places where, let's say, the clothes wrinkle more. Or, for hair, color underneath the head or like behind the head, if that makes sense.

*light bulb goes off over my head*

*eyes light up in excitement*

*GASP*

I should do a step-by-step of how I color long girl hair! :O Maybe guy hair, too! What do you guys think about that!!?! *whispers* I think Sarah may already have suggested doing something like this. XD If you guys, like the idea, I'll do it sometime soon! I mean, I've got all summer to draw so sometime in there, I'll draw it for you. XD (This month is pretty busy for me, but next month is all clear! :D)

Eep, I'm actually getting excited about drawing something like for you guys. XD I think I'll have lot more time after grad to draw more. So excited, I just can't hide it! XDDD

What kinds of things make you super excited?

Sarah's Art Request

Hey! Did ya miss me yet?! XD

I hope you're as excited for this post as I am!

Sarah! I finished your art request! I hope you are happy with ittttttt! I had a lot of fun drawing and coloring it. Tracey, my sister, gave me the idea to have the black hair have a blueish tinge to it. :D I colored it that way to differentiate between other blacks in the character's outfit.

This is one of the first times I erased a little on a person's clothes to give it lighter areas where the light would shine on it. I'm quite happy with the way it turned out, so I think I'll do it more. XD

Sarah's character, Kira, is supposed to have a sad smile; I'm not sure if I accomplished that or not. I don't normal draw sad smiles, to be honest. It was fun, though! To make the girl's eyes look sadder I left a white spot at the bottom of her eyes to make them almost slightly teary...? I don't think teary is the right word to describe them but I don't what other word to use.

Thank you so much, Sarah, for being so helpful when I had so many questions to ask about how Kira looked like! *whispers* I hope I didn't bother you too much. >.< It was quite enjoyable to get to draw fanart of one of your characters!!! :D

The next art request I'm planning to do is Tracey's! I hope to be able to draw it this week, if school isn't too intense. XD

I'll see you faeries on Thursday! Cheers! ;)

What do you like to draw the most? Fanart or things you made up yourself?

Draw Your Favorite Scene - art tag

Hey faeries! *waves*

Sarahkey8 tagged me a couple weeks ago for a art tag called "Draw Your Favorite Scene."

There isn't really any certain rules for this tag. XD I'm assuming that if you want to do this tag, you have to use the picture that Sarah made. :D And tag a few more people, of course. ^.^

Picture made by Sarahkey8

1. What scene would you draw?

Hmmm. This is a super tough question... I think I'd like to draw a scene from one of my favorite series ever, Tyme. It's a fairy tale retelling series. It only has two books so far in the series, but there's one coming out in summer.

Anyhoo!

There's this really cute scene in the first book, "Grounded: the Adventures of Rapunzel." It's where the main character, Rapunzel and her friend Jack and a pet frog, named Prince Frog have taken rest. It's raining and their in a forest. And Jack had helped Rapunzel use her hair to make a canopy under a tree so rain wouldn't come down on them. Rapunzel is sleeping and Jack was staying up to watch out for bad guys.

I kinda pictured Jack hugging his knees up to his chest and staring out into the rain sadly and the frog just sitting beside him. And it'd just be so cute!

2. Why this particular scene?

I'm not sure, exactly. I love those characters a ton and the story itself is amazing. So I, of course, want to draw fan art. XD

And I have this image in my head I can't shake of how I want to draw it. (I think I'd have to draw it online, though. :P) I'm thinking all the colors would be soft and there would be no outlines and even the shadowing would look soft. Does that make sense?

3. What do you think the easiest part would be?

Uhm. The frog? XDD

4. What do you think the hardest part would be?

Probably to make Rapunzel look like she actually on the ground sleeping and Jack actually sitting. And just the whole scenery, in general. XDD I need to work on scenery and having characters look like they're in that scene, not just pasted there. XD

5. What would be the funnest part?

*thinks* Well, I like challenges in my art. So it might be the hardest parts that I will enjoy drawing quite a bit. :) And I probably will also have lots of fun coloring Rapunzel's hair. XD

6. Will you ever get to drawing this scene?

Yes. I'd love to draw this scene! Once I'm done all the art requests and another project I should have done a long time ago, I will then draw it. :3

Welp, that was a fun tag! Thanks again for tagging me, Sarah! I had lots of fun!!! :D

Now I'm going to tag...

ANYONE AND EVERYONE WHO FINDS IT THEIR HEART'S OF HEARTS TO DO THIS TAG.

XD *whispers* That means you. Yes, you. You, the person who is reading this. You don't have to be an artist... I think. :P

Well, anyhoo and anyhow! I hope you all have a wonderful Easter! <3
